MY BIG FAMILY
My father was an ordinary amateur photographer. When taking pictures, he didn’t pay much attention to composition and didn’t try to impress anyone with his photos. He just picked up his old rangefinder camera and captured everyday life around him.
After his death in 2021, I inherited more than 400 black-and-white films that he shot between 1975 and 1992. It took me over a year to scan and organize all the footage.
This series is about people, most of whom are already gone. It’s about warmth and our lost ability to smile sincerely. It’s also about small joys and a carefree childhood to which each of us would like to return.
